FGM is a dangerous, primitive painful practice. It goes against the human rights act and is considered child abuse. It is illegal and hazardous for anyone to perform or be subject to FGM. If you or someone you know is at immediate risk or harm, you should immediately notify the authorities.
The police and your local health services recognise and are aware of the law and physical ramification of Female circumcision. They will serve and protect you. Under no circumstance should any female undergo genital mutilation. Get the help you deserve.
The maximum sentence for performing FGM or to facilitate the act is 14 years in prison.
